How Panel Spacers are used
How Panel Spacers are used
During prep, panels are cleaned and primed before wrapping. Because primer needs time to dry, it is often more efficient to bulk-prime multiple panels at once.
Panel Spacers help keep those panels separated and raised away from the work surface, reducing the risk of contamination while they dry. They can then be used again after wrapping to keep finished panels off the floor and protected from damage.
Primer drying and contamination control
Primer drying and contamination control
Place 3 or 4 spacers under each panel to raise it approximately 25mm off the work surface.
This helps:
- reduce the risk of contamination after priming
- keep panels separated while drying
- make it easier to stack multiple panels safely during prep
After wrapping
After wrapping
Once panels are wrapped, the spacers can be used to keep them off the floor and separated from other surfaces. This helps reduce the risk of:
- scratches
- pressure marks
- accidental damage to freshly wrapped panels
A common setup after wrapping is:
- 2 spacers at the bottom
- 1 spacer at the top
Pack of 12 – how many panels?
Pack of 12 – how many panels?
- 4 spacers per panel is the safest setup
- A pack of 12 supports 3 panels using 4 spacers per panel
- Many installers use 3 spacers per panel in a diamond layout, allowing 4 panels per pack
This gives flexibility depending on panel size, workspace and how you prefer to work.
